Status represents the actual lead workflow status. Is your lead replied to a campaign? Or was an email bounced? It's all about status.
In short — Status represents the current lead position in your workflow.
Each lead can be in different statuses simultaneously (example: replied + finished, opened + opted-out, etc.).
You can check the current statuses (or sort leads by statuses) in your general Lead List.
You can also change the status for any lead (or lead group) from the same list. Just select needed leads, then choose the Action with selected → Change statuses option, then choose the required statuses in the new popup window.
If you want to stop a lead from receiving new emails, just set that lead to Finished status.
New
— lead was just created, no emails have been sent to this lead yet.
Active
— lead was included in one of your existing campaigns and (possibly) is receiving emails.
Paused
— lead was paused (lead is not getting any emails, even if included in an active campaign).
Opened
— lead opened one (or more) of your emails.
Replied
— lead answered one (or more) of your emails.
Opted Out
— lead opted-out (unsubscribed) from your campaigns by clicking the unsubscribe link. No emails will be sent to this lead in future.
Replied + Opted Out
— lead answered your emails and then opted-out (unsubscribed) from your campaigns by clicking the unsubscribe link. No emails will be sent to this lead in future.
Bounced
— your email was rejected by the lead's mail server. It’s possible that the lead's email address does not exist or that the lead's email server is not properly configured.
Invalid
— incorrect email format. Please check the email address in the lead's details.
Finished
— llead is finished (you got an answer from your lead, or the lead has unsubscribed, or your email was bounced).
