How to Uninstall Avast Antivirus on Windows

The Avast antivirus is one of the most popular antivirus software programs for Windows. It provides an excellent level of protection from viruses, malware, and other malicious threats. However, if you are no longer using Avast or need to reinstall it, then you will need to uninstall it from your system. Uninstalling Avast antivirus from a Windows computer is a straightforward process and can be done in just a few steps.

Step 1: Check for the Avast Icon in the System Tray

The first step to uninstalling Avast antivirus is to check for the Avast icon in the system tray. The system tray is located in the lower right corner of the screen. If you see the Avast icon there, then it is running on your computer.

Step 2: Open the Avast User Interface

Once you have located the Avast icon in the system tray, right-click on it and select “Open Avast user interface” from the context menu. This will open the Avast user interface.
