Step 1: Enable Wi-Fi Connection

The first step in connecting your iPhone to your Mac wirelessly is to enable the Wi-Fi connection on both devices. On your iPhone, open the Settings app and tap “Wi-Fi.” Here you can toggle the switch to the On position to turn on Wi-Fi. Once both devices are connected to the same Wi-Fi network, you’ll need to connect your iPhone to your Mac via AirDrop. On your iPhone, open the Control Center by swiping up from the bottom of the screen. Tap the AirDrop icon to open the AirDrop menu. Select “Receiving Off” to make your iPhone visible to other devices. On your Mac, open the Finder. Select “AirDrop” from the left-hand side menu. Your iPhone should appear in the list of devices. Select your iPhone from the list and your devices will be connected.

Step 4: Start Sharing Files

Now that your iPhone is connected to your Mac wirelessly, you can start sharing files between the two devices. On your iPhone, open the app you want to share files from. Select the file you want to share. Tap the Share icon. Select “AirDrop” from the list of options. Your Mac should appear in the list of devices. Select your Mac and the file will be sent to your Mac. On your Mac, the file will appear in the Downloads folder.

Step 5: Disconnect the Wireless Connection

When you’re done sharing files between your iPhone and Mac, you’ll need to disconnect the wireless connection. On your iPhone, open the Settings app and tap “Wi-Fi.” Here you can toggle the switch to the Off position to turn off Wi-Fi. On your Mac, open the Apple Menu and select “System Preferences.” Select the “Network” option from the list. Here you can toggle the Wi-Fi switch to the Off position to turn off Wi-Fi.
